VR Arcade brings future of VR gaming to first Rotterdam Games Week in Ahoy
Virtual Reality 2.0: real-life game experience in an area of 100 square meters
Put on your VR glasses, take out your shotgun and protect your teammates against a zombie invasion. VR Arcade is organizing in collaboration with Vicon the first DreamHack Rotterdam Virtual Reality Champions League powered by HP Reverb Virtual Reality Headset and HP VR Backpack from 18 till 20 October. During this event in Ahoy visitors get a lifelike sneak peek on the future of gaming.
The DreamHack Rotterdam Virtual Reality Champions League takes place during the first Rotterdam Games Week. Teams up to 4 players face one another during the three days of DreamHack Rotterdam. Every day there will be a prize for the winners of the day, which will be handed out on the Cosplay stage. The best zombie killer of the day will also receive an award. Players will be competing on Origin by Vicon - the most immersive and responsive location-based virtual reality system available. Vicon is excited to be supporting its customer, VR Arcade, with a full system at this exciting event, and helping push forward the realms of the possible within VR.

The future of gaming is experiencing virtual reality together in a big secluded room. VR Arcade is the first REAL virtual reality experience in Europe, which turns every empty room in a completely new world in which you can walk around for real. This game has already four locations in the Netherlands. In Amsterdam, Apeldoorn, Delft, and Helmond to be precise.
DreamHack is all about entertainment for the digital generation. ROTTERDAM GAMES WEEK
Following the examples of Paris, Berlin and Milan, Rotterdam will in October 2019 host a large-scale, international esports and gaming festival: Rotterdam Games Week. In cooperation with DreamHack, Ahoy is the organiser and promoter of DreamHack Rotterdam, which will be the main event of the new annual games week taking place in the Ahoy venue. Together with the City of Rotterdam and other stakeholders, Ahoy is also developing other events for the same week leading up to the event. The City of Rotterdam has proclaimed the desire to become the esports capital of the Netherlands and has appointed Rotterdam Games Week as one of their iconic events.
